Play Garden

Our Early Childhood Play Garden program is designed for Kindergarten students who need a nurturing place to go when the regular school day ends at 1:00 PM. Our goal is to provide your child and our community with a loving and healthy after-school environment.
 

In Play Garden, children are welcomed into a warm, home-like space with gentle rhythms and activities, both indoors and outdoors. Their afternoons are enriched with healthy snacks, creative arts, seasonal stories and songs, and developmentally appropriate circle games.

This program runs Monday through Thursday, from 1:00 PM – 2:50 PM, with tuition of $270/month. To apply for Kinder Play Garden, please fill out this survey.
 

Once accepted, our Business Manager will invite you to set up an account on our Brightwheel platform where you will update your information and pickup authorizations. Families will be asked to submit credit card or ACH bank account information for monthly tuition payments.
 

If you would like to apply for tuition assistance, please complete and return this form. Once reviewed and approved, the Business Manager will notify you of your award.

After Care

Our Aftercare program supports the needs of families while continuing the rhythms, reverence, and rituals of the school day. Aftercare begins at dismissal and runs until 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Charges begin 30 minutes after dismissal from school.
 

This program is open to all PVCS K–8 students as well as community families interested in experiencing elements of the Waldorf approach through Aftercare. Space is limited, so we encourage families to apply early.
 

After submitting the survey below, you will receive an invitation to set up your account in Brightwheel, our platform for updating emergency information, signing children out, and managing payments. Failure to pay timely will result in removal from the program.
 

Rates:

  • Monday–Thursday: $15/day all grades after 4:00 PM

  • Monday–Thursday: $5/day grades K-3 after 3:20 PM (if student is waiting for an older sibling or to ride the bus, this fee is waived.)

  • Friday (early release): $20/day after 1:30 PM

  • Late fee $1 per minute past 6:00 PM
